Cats are wild and respected over there, and somehow, they look more mysterious.
To the eyes of those who look at them, they become something else, like keepers of important places - important places for a cat - and their look gains in gravity and honor.
They have all their time, no need to rush, nor to worry about anything.
But I won't try to bother one of them, for they seem protected by the magic of the place.

Les chats sont souvent un sujet très intéressant à photographier en effet, eux qui sont à la fois proches des humains et si libres.

Indeed, noble is exactly what I had in mind but couldn't find it.
Noble, like many other wild animals, but here, you are face to face with a wild one, living surrounded by humans, and yet, looking more noble than many of them.
Incredible vision, wanted to share :)

exactly! Wild,strong,stubborn,but has to live with human beings who think they are the smartest and the best. And this cat is way too much of a "character" for them.

In fact, cats are quite often nearly invisible when you pass by, but when you've seen one, it is interesting to try to make it stand out as you said.
