It seemed to me there were invisible beings sitting here, somehow staring at the sun setting over the sea, but I couldn't find a way to point them on the photograph.
The red color shown here echoes with this absence I meant to picture.
Look well, you'll see them too.

im a big fan of the contrast between the monochromatic surroundings then the benches you made red. it just pops out into my face. the photo also has great perspective and just the right amount of "negative" space. another well done shot :+fav:

I'm glad you enjoyed this red color, it means the use of it was a good thing.
Thank you very much for this lovely comment and the :+fav: that are both extremely appreciated.

The red is a perfect addition to this work, Photoshop or oils?

As I told minor-care above, I did not add the red here, but kept it the way it was, and got the picture turn into a black and white one.
I thought about the shot as a black and white one, but I found it was a good idea to underline the absence feeling with this use of the color.

I did this using Photoshop indeed, since it is a picture taken with my digital camera.
Do not think I let the traditional argentique technique behind, it is just more convenient for my student status to work with this digital device, but I am fond of good ol' cameras (my favorite one owned being a FT2 Nikkormat, not that old, ok, but still more traditional than my D70)
I already used paintings on photographs, some are in my galleries I guess, I don't remember whether I deleted them or not.

Anyway, thank you once again for your kind words, it is always great to hearing from you.
