Illusion.

I found these ancient medieval stairs, and I thought it could be a nice challenge to get them look like Escher's illusions.
(If you don't know who Escher was, I really advise you to make a quick search on the Net right now: his work is really impressive.)

They looked so interesting, but I only had few time to shot these, for this was a private place :) (Smile)

Anyway, the work I had on this picture was huge.
The shot was not this way: I had to get different exposures in the dark room (6 different exp. time in fact) so as to obtain this final result.
I hope I achieve in giving it an odd but nice look.

Btw, if you look at the picture this way, these are ascending stairs, and if you look at it upside down, these are descending :) (Smile)

Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it.
I like his work indeed.
Very interesting to try to apply it to something else.

Hmmm....I was at a poster sale today and saw this Escher poster...and immediately thought of this particular deviation for some reason.

Took me a hell of a while trying to find it....hahaha. I knew if was from somebody that I had once commented on.

Anyway...this is an awesome piece. Now that I've actually seen an Escher piece I know what look you are trying to achieve. Looks great.

I'm still trying to figure out the picture.... =)

euh... Thumbs Up , hein ;) (Wink)

Wow, very nice! I love black and white pictures. It's very intricate and could give someone a headache. :) (Smile) I wish I could have visited the place where you took the picture when I was in France. I'll be checking out more of your stuff!

ah, that's so cool. It's confusing to look at (which is good if you're going for Escher, right?) and interesting, too...
